Role Overview 

Reporting to the Creative Services Marketing Manager, this role will provide original photographic content for School Group. 

 

Essential Functions 

  • Work closely with the Marketing Department to develop concept collections that will be used by School Group across various platforms. 

  • Ability to draft and present your ideas to the Creative Services Marketing Manager and the Chief Marketing Officer. 

  • Ability to visualize and create photo collections, campaigns, and stock photos. based off verbal or written concepts in order to tell a story or explain educational information. 

  • Create detailed, shareable content that can be shared to various web platforms that include (but not limited to) YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and WordPress. 

  • Assist the Marketing Department in the organization of digital and photographic files. 

  • Ability to self-edit photographs to fit the needs of the Marketing Department if necessary. 

  • Must be self-motivated and time efficient in order to meet deadlines.

  • Add positions consulted for this role, both internal and external. Also include direct reports, if any, and level of supervision. 

 

 

Qualifications 

Basic 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Photography, Fine Arts or related creative field. 

  • 1+ year of professional (or high quality) photography experience. 

  • Passion for creativity and a limitless imagination. 

  • A portfolio of completed projects. 

  • Expert familiarity using professional cameras; DSLR preferred. 

  • Advanced familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. 

  • Previous experience working with social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and WordPress 

 

 

Preferred 

  • Capacity to shoot video, a plus.  

  • Prior nonprofit or media experience a BIG plus.  

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint helpful. 

  • Experience working remotely as part of a team.  

  • Experience working in a start-up company, non-profit or entrepreneurial environment.  

  • Self-directed and disciplined with the ability to work independently in an ever-changing environment.
