Role Overview 

School Group (SG) is seeking an HR Research & Strategy Advisor to develop HR strategies and solutions that support overall organizational goals. In this role you will conduct research and suggest HR strategy on recruitment, HR operations, training & development, and volunteer engagement to help build a high performing organization. You will play an instrumental role in enabling SG deliver on its mission to make quality education accessible around the world 

 

Essential Functions 

  • Research and suggest HR plans and solutions to achieve strategic initiatives and deliver results. 

 

  • Develop presentations and research reports presenting your findings and suggesting strategies for implementation 

 

  • Consult leadership on a variety of different HR topics 

 

  • Strategize on organizational design, recruitment, HR operations, and training & development. Determine appropriates processes for organization improvement and optimization. 

 

  • Conduct research on special assignments, including best practices and HR regulations. 

 

  • Assess volunteer training needs and make recommendations for training. 

 

  • Provide ongoing support to HR department on related matters, policies and procedures.

  • Add positions consulted for this role, both internal and external. Also include direct reports, if any, and level of supervision. 

 

 

Qualifications 

Basic 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field with 3 years of relevant experience. 

  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for recruitment, selection, training, and personnel information systems. 

  • Good team player and the ability to work harmoniously with others. 

  • Active listening skills: giving full attention to what other people are saying and taking time to understand the points being made. 

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite of products. 

  • Ability to convey ideas and recommendations in a clear, compelling and succinct way in written and verbal communications. 

  • Ability to multi-task and handle various projects simultaneously to drive timely results. 

  • A go-getter attitude with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get the work done. 

 

 

Preferred 

  • Master’s Degree or MBA in HR preferred. 

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. 

  • Strong consulting skills. Assess required information, obtain information from various sources and conduct analysis and interpretation. Evaluate outcomes and follow-up as appropriate. 

  • Experience working in a startup and/or nonprofit organization. 

  • Experience in using data and metrics to determine improvements.
