HR Assistant

The HR Assistant will have administrative responsibilities, helping to plan and administer important functions, such as onboarding, training and development, and benefits. 

Responsibilities

  • New hire orientation, onboarding and maintaining employee files.

  • Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements.

  • Assist in administering benefits, and employee performance programs

  • Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization, and to improve employee experience.

  • Adhere to legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required.

Must Have

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a Human Resource function.

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field preferred but not required.

  • SHRM-CP and/or PHR certification(s) a plus. 

  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.

  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and general knowledge of HR procedures and policies.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.

  • Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of HR federal and state laws and regulations
