Role Overview 

In our pursuit to make quality education accessible around the world, the School Group (SG) is seeking a Curriculum Designers to join our team! In this role you will develop SG curriculums for global use, develop curriculum models/units and collaborate with Content Area Specialists to enhance professional learning 

 

Essential Functions 

  • Work with our team and subject matter experts (SMEs) and key stakeholders to understand audience and learning-outcome objectives. 

  • Assess learner needs and styles, define learning objectives, create the learning environment and content materials, implement the training and evaluating the effectiveness of the curriculum. 

  • Collaboratively develop curriculum modules/units with the Content Area Specialists, including selecting standards, writing outcomes, creating great essential questions, fashioning active and interactive interdisciplinary learning designs that feature learning sequences, determining outcomes-based demonstrations of learning evaluated by rubrics. 

  • Develop curriculum for global use and use of cutting-edge technology. 

  • Collaborate with Content Area Specialists to enhance professional learning in areas related to School Group work.

Key Relationships 

 

  • Collaborate with the Curriculum Director and Content Area Specialists 

 

 

Qualifications 

Basic 

  • Bachelor’s degree in curriculum, education or related fields 

  • Experience building curriculum at the school or district level 

  • Experience leading and participating in effective teams  

  • Knowledge or and experience in innovative curriculum design (learner-centered, outcomes-based, interdisciplinary, based on essential questions, composed of learning sequences, promoting active and interactive learning, measured by demonstrations of learning, etc.) 

  • Ability to see the value of global learning and learning through technology. 

  • Ability to see the big picture in terms of curriculum development. 

Preferred 

  • E-learning/distance education experience preferred. 

  • Knowledge of middle/high school curriculum across the content areas. 

  • Knowledge of and experience in developing curricula. 

  • Knowledge of and experience in developing year-long or semester-long courses in particular content areas and grade levels. 

  • Ability to develop units within the courses (and modules within the units).
